Some of the most advanced beauty wisdom in the world has been passed down through generations, quietly, in kitchens and courtyards across India.

We're Sandeep and Nalini, and we started Gheek Beauty because we grew up watching those rituals firsthand: ghee massaged into tired feet, oil settled into the navel at night, herbs prepared slowly and with clear intention. What looked simple on the surface carried centuries of accumulated knowledge about how to care for a living, changing body, and we built this brand because we believed that wisdom deserved to come forward rather than fade out.

Why Ghee?

In Sanskrit, ghee is called Sneha, a word that means both fat and love, and we've always found that connection deeply meaningful. Real nourishment and real love share the same essential quality: both ask you to slow down, pay attention, and give generously without rushing the result.

Gheek Beauty is named after ghee for exactly that reason, and the connection runs deeper than a name. Our family has been practicing traditional ghee craftsmanship since 1889, five generations of patience, purity, and genuine respect for natural ingredients, and those same principles guide everything we formulate today.

How We Make Our Products

Our products are rooted in classical Ayurvedic lipid preparations, specifically Sneha Kalpana, the traditional method of preparing herbs in a nourishing lipid base, and developed alongside modern formulation discipline. That means whole-herb infusions, carefully selected actives, and ingredients chosen because they genuinely perform rather than simply photograph well.

We also work with gold-charged ghee, inspired by a longstanding Ayurvedic practice of gently infusing pure 24-karat gold into ghee. In Ayurveda, ghee is considered yogavahi, a carrier that enhances the qualities of the ingredients prepared with it, which is why it has formed the foundation of classical herbal preparations for centuries. For us, it is a quiet and intentional practice that we honor at every stage of formulation.

We Formulate for Skin States, Not Skin Types

Your skin is a living organ that responds continuously to stress, seasons, hormones, sleep, and the cumulative rhythm of your daily life. Rather than building products around rigid skin type categories, we formulate for skin states, so that what you reach for on the shelf can actually meet you where you are and adapt alongside you as your needs shift over time.

Where We're Starting

Our first collection, Paada Soundarya: The Foot Ritual, begins where so many traditional care practices begin, at the feet. In classical Ayurvedic tradition, the feet hold significant therapeutic importance, and they carry you through everything life asks of you. This collection is our way of honoring a ritual our grandmothers never had to be reminded to practice, and making it easy and meaningful for you to return to it.
