Botanical preparations rooted in Ayurvedic tradition, crafted for modern daily ritual.
Our botanicals are sourced from trusted suppliers around the world, selected for quality and authenticity. We handcraft our products in Burlington, New Jersey USA using Sneha Kalpana, a classical Ayurvedic method of slowly infusing medicinal herbs into a lipid base. This preparation method has been used for centuries to create deeply nourishing herbal preparations.
Each product in the Paada Soundarya ritual draws from classical Ayurvedic self-care practices. Ingredients are selected for their traditional roles in botanical skin care.
No synthetic fragrance. No parabens. No sulfates. No PEGs. Formulated without unnecessary additives.
A kansa wand is made from a traditional bronze alloy composed primarily of copper and tin. The handle is made from teak wood.
Massage of the soles of the feet can support relaxation, help ease feelings of tension, and promote a sense of overall well-being.
The kansa wand offers consistent pressure with less effort and a smooth gliding surface.
The primary benefits come from the massage itself. There is no established scientific evidence that the metal itself delivers therapeutic effects.
This is completely normal! The grey or black residue is caused by a chemical reaction between the Kansa metal (a copper and tin alloy) and your skin's natural acidity. In Ayurvedic tradition, this is seen as a sign of the wand "drawing out" excess acidity and heat ("Pitta") from the body. A darker grey may indicate higher acidity or heat levels that day.
The amount of greying can vary based on your skin's pH, environmental pollutants, and the oil used. Many practitioners notice less greying over time, interpreted as the body becoming more balanced.
The residue is harmless. Simply wipe your skin with a warm, damp cloth after your massage, and clean the wand dome thoroughly before your next session.
No. The body’s detoxification processes are handled by organs such as the liver and kidneys.
